Due to the coronavirus the WDF in conjunction with dartconnect organised a virtual world cup.

Using the dartconnect online scoring system and Skype Irina was able to play against people regardless of what area of the world they live in.

Having qualified through the group stages Irina was drawn against a lady from Iran, Zahra  Rajabi. Irina winning 4 -2.

The last 16 match Irina played against Katie Sheldon from the Republic of Ireland, Irina winning this match 4 - 1.

This brought a last 8 match against Mikuru Suzuki from Japan. Mikuru needs no introduction having been Lakeside Champion, Asia Pacific champion, reigning WDF world cup singles champion. A game Irina was relishing. She prevailed and won 4 - 0.

Irina finally lost in the semi final against Russian sensation Ksenia Klochek 5 - 1.

The German Ladies Team at the 4 Nations event in Belgium took the title this year in a closely run battle with the Netherlands.

In the ladies singles event the German ladies dominated having 3 players in the last 4. The final was contested between Irina and Stephanie Rennock.
